Description
Havasu Falls is surely one of our treasured natural wonders. It's a ten mile hike to the bottom, but is worth the journey. The ten mile hike return uphill can be grueling, so watch the weather so it won't be too hot, and be sure to take lots of water.
I took my four by five field view camera for this trip. We camped at the neat little campground below the falls. And the next morning I was able to capture this shot. I loved every minute of it.
It turns out that I was very fortunate to capture this image when I did, because just a couple of years later, massive flooding diverted the water channels, which drastically altered the appearance of Havasu Falls. Of course, the trip is STILL worth the effort, it's just that I got to see it before the big alteration took place.
