Face to Face- Druid Wolf and Raven This photo was taken one winter day in Yellowstone National Park. The Druid Peak Pack had hunted a bull elk and were dining on it in Soda Butte Creek in the northeastern portion of Yellowstone- where the Druids roamed. Of course, other scavengers such as ravens would come by and try to share. (Fortunately for the wolves, it was still winter, so those 'rascal' grizzlies were still in hibernation!) There is truly a symbiotic relationship that exists between ravens and wolves. Seeing this raven perched on the elk antler, face to face with the wolf, and waiting for an opportunity was so incredibly touching.
